WiPQTUS emerges from stealth mode: Unveils Disruptive Technology for Ubiquitous Wireless Charging for the Portables Market

Device-agnostic, alignment-agnostic and standards compliant wireless charging solutions from WIPQTUS target multi-billion dollar consumer and industrial portables market.

Wireless charging solutions today provide limited power and deliver that power only over a small charging area (charging area is the area over which the full rated wireless power is available). In addition they are primarily smartphone centric solutions and do not address the rest of the portables market effectively. WPC, PMA and A4WP are 3 major consortiums in the wireless power industry and represent 3 different approaches to delivering power wirelessly.  Wireless charging solutions typically are designed around one of the three approaches and hence are incompatible with chargers and/or receivers that are designed based on the other approaches.

WiPQTUS Inc, a Silicon Valley wireless power startup, emerging from stealth, today announced the general availability of its patent-pending device-agnostic, alignment-agnostic, standards compliant Adaptive Coupling (AC) technology for wirelessly charging consumer and industrial portables.  WiPQTUS revolutionary AC wireless power technology overcomes the limitations of the first generation wireless charging solutions.  WiPQTUS AC technology is superior in multiple dimensions – power, efficiency, X-Y charging area, rotational misalignment, Z-height, multi-standard support, true simultaneous device charging and safety – compared to existing solutions. These are critical for the widespread adoption of wireless power in consumer and industrial portables.

WiPQTUS has incorporated its Adaptive Coupling (AC) technology into its multi-Standard multi-device wireless power Transmitter and into its multi-standard wireless power Receivers. WiPQTUS AC Transmitter

  • Excels at seamlessly delivering wireless power to smartphones, tablets, wearables, notebooks and a slew of other portable devices. WiPQTUS AC Transmitter is easily integrated into power-pads, furniture, cars, non-portable devices such as LCD monitors to charge these portables.
  • Interoperates with Qi-based and PMA-based receivers with plans to interoperate with A4WP/Rezence receivers in the near future. WiPQTUS AC Transmitter complements existing standards and delivers additional value such as extended Charging Area.
  • Delivers the highest wireless power in the industry – upto 50W per receiver and charges in both tightly coupled and loosely coupled modes.
